STUDENT UNION: Asos.com and PayPal have joined to form of an interactive platform with student–generated content and a series of exclusive offers aimed at both sites’ young customers.
Today, in the U.S. and the U.K., the two brands launched “Asos On Campus,” a destination where Asos’ student insiders create content for their peers, sharing information ranging from fashion tips to university experiences. The platform will launch in Germany and France on Nov. 9.
The site has a strong mobile focus and the aim is to enable communication among students on a global scale, and to promote empowerment.
Alison Sagar, senior director of U.K. marketing at Paypal, said the companies’ global customer base and focus on innovation were common denominators that brought them together. “This marketing partnership cuts across owned, digital and social channels, and leverages unique content created through the Asos student editors’ program.”
