While he typically invites buyers and editors to his Marais headquarters in the days immediately following Paris Fashion Week, the designer has now scheduled his fall 2016 show for April 3, with wholesale clients invited to purchase the collection from the showroom in the days that follow. The next Paris Fashion Week runs from March 1 to 9.
According to the house, the additional time will allow Alaïa, “known for his absolute dedication to his craft,” to create “a more semicouture collection, where the finishing and craftsmanship of his work can be seen and purchased in a more intimate environment.”
