STAR SYSTEM: Leave it to Louis Vuitton to crank up the celebrity meter at the European men’s collections. Word has it the French fashion house is assembling a stellar front row on Thursday that will include the Black Eyed Peas, Bradley Cooper, Keziah Jones and French soccer hero Yohan Gourcuff.

MEN’S MOVE: Eddie Borgo is adding a little homme improvement to his punk-infused jewelry line, with a small 15-style men’s collection to make its debut later this month. The move, Borgo said, was a no-brainer. “A lot of my friends and clients were asking me to make one-off pieces for their boyfriends, fiancés and husbands,” he explained. “It just kind of snowballed from there.” Though the sterling silver lineup, priced $70 to $200 at wholesale, sticks to the same rock ’n’ roll motifs as his women’s line — spike pendants, bear traplike rings — Borgo notes one very big difference: “The shapes are very easy and simple, things men can wear every day,” he said. “I didn’t want them to be statement fashion pieces, which I think is more in line with the women’s [collection].”




SAUNDERS TO LONDON: Jonathan Saunders has joined a growing list of designers who are returning to London to fete 25 years of the British Fashion Council. The designer told WWD he plans to move his show from New York this season, and is hunting for a venue. “Where you show is a combination of where you feel creative and where your business is,” said Saunders. “London is where I’m based. I have a studio here and it’s very close to my heart and I also have a lot of friends who show in London.”

Saunders has been showing in New York for the past three seasons. He will join Burberry, Matthew Williamson and Pringle, all of whom have revealed plans to show during London Fashion Week, which runs from Sept. 18 to 22.

FASHION MOVERS: More than 600 people filled the Meatpacking District hot spot M2 Thursday night to recognize five industry executives on the forefront of the eco-friendly fashion movement. Hosted by Fashion Delivers, the event’s honorees included Wes Card, chief executive of Jones Apparel Group; Franke Rodriguez, brand director of I/denti/tee; Sally Fowler and Jessica Moment, co-founders of San Francisco boutique Philanthropist; Chloé Jo Berman, founder of Girliegirl Army, and eco-minded designer Linda Loudermilk. The altruism particularly touched LL Cool J, who hosted the event, which raised $22,000 for the charity. “When I heard about this organization being started back in 2005 and them helping people that were suffering in Katrina and everybody that was devastated by that event, I thought it sounded like a really great thing to get involved with,” he said. The event also drew in designer Rachel Roy, who wore a dress from her new secondary line Rachel Rachel Roy, which is slated to launch with a fall collection in August.
