ACTIVE PURSUITS: Bloomingdale’s shoppers may not get first dibs on booking Flywheel classes but they can now dress the part. The retailer has picked up seven styles from Flywheel’s spring collection to sell in select stores and online, making it the first retailer to sell Flywheel-branded apparel. This is the first season that cycling club chain is offering full-fledged Flywheel pieces, (as  it steps away from selling cobranded items.)

In total, the Flywheel label offers more than 60 styles of women’s and men’s activewear and sportswear including tank tops, T-shirts and sweatshirts among other things. Bloomingdale’s vice chairman Frank Doroff singled out athletic-inspired looks as one of the biggest trends for spring.”We are excited to introduce the Flywheel collection that caters to our customer’s fast-paced lifestyle with fashion and function. The collection’s novelty tanks, tees and sweats take work-out gear to the next level with stylish details including fun graphics, foiled material and stud embellishment.” he said.

Physique 57, another boutique fitness club, has also gotten into the activewear game with its own signature collection. “The new Physique 57 collection is a true reflection of the empowering feeling clients achieve during each and every Physique 57 workout. The fabrics we chose are about feeling sexy, stylish and fabulous,” said Tanya Becker co-founder, senior vice president of programming and training at Physique 57.
