FRAGRANCE DEAL: Florentine accessories and leather goods brand Braccialini has signed a long-term licensing deal with Eurocosmesi, a Bologna-based beauty company that is part of Coswell Group, for the manufacture and international distribution of its fragrances. The first fragrance under the new license is slated for 2015, and the project will be presented this month at Cannes’ TFWA trade show, as well as at Hong Kong’s Cosmoprof Asia in November.
“We are particularly pleased with this deal because it increases our brand’s visibility and perceived value,” noted Braccialini chief executive officer Riccardo Braccialini.
Founded in 1954, Braccialini is best known for its flashy, colorful handbags and leather goods. It also sells shoes, t-shirts, foulards, umbrellas, knitwear, jewelry and watches, under separate licensing agreements. A previous women’s scent, called Braccialini, was introduced in 2008 under an old license with Schiapparelli Pikenz SpA.
Eurocosmesi produces fragrances and cosmetics for brands including Byblos, Gandini, Renato Balestra and Bionsen.
