GETTING AHEAD: The British Fashion Council’s Headonism showcase, which supports emerging British talents in millinery, has two new names to add to its spring 2015 presentation, to be held during London Fashion Week in September. Awon Golding, a Hong Kong-born, London-based milliner whose creations include feather pom pom hats that resemble ice cream cones, will join the lineup, along with Lizzie McQuade, a London-based, Scottish milliner whose bold, graphic designs have featured in fashion editorials in British and Italian Vogue. Golding and McQuade will join milliners Emma Yeo and Keely Hunter, who were part of Headonism’s spring 2014 presentation. Milliner Stephen Jones, the curator of Headonism, said that Golding and McQuade will “bring a new creativity and individuality,” to the showcase. And the BFC also said Tuesday that Wedgwood, known for its home wares in English bone china, has become Headonism’s principal sponsor. The Headonism showcase, which launched in 2009, has in the past supported milliners including Aurora Ozma,  Noel Stewart and Piers Atkinson.
