LOOKING EAST: Italy’s Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is gearing up to unveil the Chinese version of its Web site, cameramoda.it, during Milan’s upcoming fashion week, running Feb. 22-28.

 “We were used to being a bit afraid of China, but currently Chinese people are among the most important customers for the Italian fashion industry and we think that it’s fundamental to talk to them, too,” said Carlo Capasa, who last year oversaw the restyling of the Italian Chamber of Fashion’s website.

 Starting with this fashion week, the site will be constantly updated with editorial content, along with runway images and companies’ press releases on the collections.

 In addition, journalists and buyers will be alerted to changes and additions to the shows’ schedule through a tool called “My Schedule,” while a career section will help young talents to get in touch with the most important fashion players.
