WHITE NIGHT: Unlike many brides who try to immerse themselves in all things fashion before choosing their wedding gowns, Cameron Diaz has been on the inside track for a while. The striking blonde “There’s Something About Mary” actress had plenty of designer connections she could have used for the dress she chose to marry Benji Madden Monday night in a private ceremony in Los Angeles. Aside from being a more-than-welcome front-row guest at such shows as Christian Dior, Versace and Giorgio Armani, she is tight with Drew Barrymore whose father-in-law Arie Kopelman is better known as Chanel’s former longtime ceo. In 2012, Diaz went with Barrymore to the Chanel boutique in Los Angeles for her final fitting before she exchanged vows with Will Kopelman. But as of Tuesday morning, it wasn’t known if Barrymore had done the same for Diaz.
Another pal of Diaz’s, Nicole Richie, is a designer in her own right and the lithesome “Candidly Nicole” star. The pair are now sisters-in-law, since Richie is married to Madden’s brother Joel. The stylish Hollywooders must have been still reveling Monday night, as they had yet to post any wedding photos on their respective Instagram accounts.
In recent red-carpet appearances for her latest role in “Annie,” Diaz has turned up in Christian Dior and Rag & Bone. Stella McCartney is another favorite designer but a company spokesman waved off any comments regarding the nuptials Monday. Dialed-in as she is with the fashion scene, Diaz may have opted to keep her free spirit style under wraps for as long as she could.
