“RUSH” HOUR: Ron Howard’s latest movie “Rush,” which chronicles the legendary rivalry of Formula One racers James Hunt and Niki Lauda, hits theaters on Sept. 27 but has already started to garner Oscar buzz after its premieres in London and at the Toronto International Film Festival. Apart from their red racing suits, actors Chris Hemsworth (who plays Hunt) and Daniel Brühl (who plays Lauda) spend just as much time in Carrera shades. The Carrera 80 style worn by Brühl, a teardrop-shaped metal aviator, is a re-issue of a best-selling frame in the Seventies, during which the film is set. The Speedway style worn by Hemsworth is an injection-molded frame inspired by the classic Carrera teardrop shape. Actress Alexandra Maria Lara, who plays Marlene Lauda, sports the Carrera 16 style. The frames retail for $179, $120 and $145 respectively, and are available at Solstice stores and online.
