WATCH THIS: Cartier has opened its first pop-up space at Harrods dedicated to men’s watches and accessories. The Man by Cartier will run until Nov. 19 on the store’s ground floor, with a selection of windows facing the Brompton Road also dedicated to the event. The display includes holograms, digital displays, vintage watches, and signature models such as the Tank, Ballon Bleu, and Santos. The recently-launched Calibre de Cartier Diver, the Fine Watchmaking Collection and the Cartier concept watches are also on show. In addition, Cartier is screening the short film “Shape Your Time,” directed by Bruno Aveillan. “This is the year — 110 years after the creation of the first modern wristwatch by Louis Cartier — to pay homage, and celebrate the man’s natural home in the Cartier universe,” said Laurent Feniou, managing director Cartier U.K. On Tuesday at the launch event, Helen David, Harrods’ fashion director, called the display a “celebration” of watches ranging from chronographs to tourbillons to limited-edition models.
