The tentative schedule for Spring 2016 women’s New York Fashion Week, held Sept. 9-17, is up via the CFDA Fashion Calendar.
There isn’t much in the way of earth-shattering changes, but Donna Karan is moving her show to Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m., a one-time only shift due to the Jewish holiday. Maiyet is showing for the first time in New York (previously it was on the Paris schedule) on Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. Suno is moving out of the Friday 8 p.m. slot to Wednesday Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. Alas, that does not mean Friday night is free — Chromat has assumed the 8 p.m. position.
There are a few other tweaks, including Coach taking the previous Marc by Marc Jacobs slot. Also, all ancillary fashion week events have been removed from the NYFW: W schedule, which is limited to shows at independent and group venues (there’s now an application and approval process for new designers), while the general Fashion Calendar will list everything — shows, presentations, parties, etc.
