ONE MORE FOR THE GALLERIA: Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is adding another luxury brand to its ever-growing roster. A Chanel Beauty and Fragrance boutique is expected to open next year in the city’s storied shopping arcade. The first such Chanel banner opened in Italy last year in Florence and a unit will bow next week in Venice.
Another Pasticceria Marchesi, controlled by Prada, was unveiled earlier this week in the Galleria, located above the luxury brand’s men’s boutique. Prada and Versace, which also counts a store in the landmark that dates back to 1865 and connects the La Scala theater to the gothic Duomo cathedral, helped fund the restoration of the Galleria, unveiled last year. Other luxury brands present in the location range from Gucci and Giorgio Armani to Louis Vuitton and Tod’s.
