BOUTIQUE ON BROMPTON: London accessories label Charlotte Olympia unveiled its second freestanding store in the U.K. on Thursday, on Draycott Avenue in London’s tony Brompton Cross neighborhood.
The 1,610-square-foot store features blush pink walls and midcentury-inspired furnishings, such as a pink and gold lozenge-shaped seating area. There is also a pale wood herringbone floor, and brass panels that accentuate the shoes on display.
The store opened Thursday and carries the label’s pre-fall collection, which takes its inspiration from artists like Wassily Kandinsky and Salvador Dalí. The store will also carry an exclusive collection, inspired by its London location.
The Draycott Avenue store joins the existing Charlotte Olympia store on London’s Maddox Street, and is the latest in a series of recent store openings for the label, which is known for its exuberant, feminine designs. Alongside London, stores have opened this year in Bangkok, at The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.
The brand now counts 10 stand-alone stores globally.
