SWEET SUCCESS: British X-Factor judge and singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, known professionally as Cheryl Cole, has launched her first fragrance, StormFlower. It contains notes of mandarin, nectarine, and a floral mix of freesia and peach blossom. The base is composed of vanilla, white musk and sandalwood.

Inspired by a tropical storm, the bottle has a curvy silhouette with a rose gold cap in the shape of flower petals. It will be available in the U.K. on Aug. 27th at the high street chains Superdrug and The Perfume Shop. There are no immediate plans to launch the fragrance in the U.S. or internationally.

The fragrance is available in 30ml and 50ml sizes, priced at 23.95 pounds, or $40, and 29.95 pounds, or $50, respectively. The StormFlower luxury body wash costs 14.95 pounds, or $25; the body lotion is 17.95 pounds, or $30; while the room scent is 39.95 pounds, or $67.

Rankin has shot the images for the ad campaign, which stars Cole.

Cole was the guest of honor at a launch party at Avenue Restaurant in London’s Mayfair, and was accompanied by her new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. The space was filled with bold purple floral arrangements and guests drank StormFlower cocktails made of vodka and mandarin liquor.

Cole married the French restaurateur two weeks ago in Mustique, and will return as a judge on the British X-factor later this year. She appeared very briefly as a judge on the American version of the show in 2011.

“For my debut fragrance, I wanted to achieve two goals: To create something that both looks beautiful — and smells gorgeous,” said the singer.  “The development has been really intense, but inspirational, and I have absolutely loved being so involved in the creative process.”
