Up-and-coming Chinese fashion brand Comme Moi has just unveiled its fall collection including five pieces developed in tandem with The Woolmark Co.
Lu Yan, a former Chinese model and the designer behind the brand, staged a runway show Monday at the Yintai Centre. WWD spoke with her at the time of the brand’s runway debut in 2014.
The capsule collection she designed with Woolmark consists of a sleeveless dress, a long skirt, a sweater, slim trousers and a peacoat.
The “China Rouge” collection, crafted from Australian wool, will be sold at retailers such as Dong Liang and Lane Crawford as well as Comme Moi’s own stores. Prices are expected to range from 1,500 renminbi to 8,000 renminbi, or about $225 to $1,202.
Hong Kong-based retailers Lane Crawford and Joyce are stocking more and more Chinese labels these days. Andrew Keith, president of Lane Crawford and Joyce, identified Comme Moi as one of China’s hottest brands worth watching.
