HOLIDAY CHEER: Cornelia Guest is quite the hostess. She welcomes guests with open arms, offers them drinks before the maître d’ has a chance and makes you feel at home, even if it’s not hers. Longtime friends John Demsey and Guest held a cocktail party at Demsey’s town house on New York’s Upper East Side on Tuesday night to celebrate the holiday season.
To that end, Kelly Killoren Bensimon admitted that she is planning to cook on Christmas for the first time. “It’s going to be quite the gastronomic experience,” admitted Killoren Bensimon. “It should be interesting. I might just order Chinese food.”

While most guests seemed to be blasé about what they wanted this year, Zac Posen didn’t hold back. “Beautiful jewelry is always nice,” said Posen.
Margherita Missoni chimed in, “From the Sotheby’s auction.”
Prabal Gurung somehow forgot what he really wanted, but he had a PSA for anyone who comes to his home during the holidays. “Don’t bring wine, bring flowers,” he said. “Oh, and candles.”
As for Demsey, sleep is at the top of his list.
Meanwhile, in the corner, Bobbi Brown was trying to encourage Gucci Westman to do her own makeup line. “Well, my office is coming together,” said Westman. “So [a makeup line] could be kind of a catalyst.”
Among those helping Demsey and Guest to celebrate on Tuesday night were Alina Cho, Linda Rodin, Kelly Rutherford, Brad and Cassandra Grey, Frédéric Malle, Vera Wang, Aerin Lauder, David Neville and Lisa Perry.
