CRAZY FOR CROCS: Prince George of Cambridge is already following his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, in the fashion plate stakes. After George wore navy blue Crocband clogs when he was pictured at a charity polo match at England’s Beaufort Polo Club June 14, Amazon.co.uk said it has seen sales of the style surge, reporting a “1,500 percent” rise in sales of the 34.94 pounds, or $54 shoe. “Once again, Prince George proves there’s no age limit on being a fashion icon,” said Daniel Silverfield, head of vendor management, shoes at Amazon.co.uk. “We’ve seen a 16-fold increase in sales of kids’ Crocband shoes at Amazon.co.uk since the photo of him wearing a pair was released.” On the day, George wore the shoes with an Olivier Baby and Kids blue cashmere cardigan and navy shorts by Mayoral. And it’s not the first time Prince George’s wardrobe has caused a stir, with sales of items that span Aden & Anais swaddling blankets to Cath Kidston tank tops spiking after George has been pictured in the designs.
