LONDON BOUND: Jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez has chosen Mount Street in London’s Mayfair for her first standalone store outside Italy. The store, which is set to open in January, will be at No. 109, on the south side of the street, facing the Connaught hotel. It spans 650-square-feet over two levels, and will have a private lounge downstairs. Delettrez has worked with the New York and London-based interior designer Rafael de Cárdenas on the store’s interiors.
Delettrez said the new store will allow her “to invite customers into my universe. It was a natural decision to open in London, where I have had a lot of support from the very beginning of my career.” She will be showing her full collection, as well as one-of-a-kind pieces and high jewelry. The jewelry designer has one standalone store on Rome’s via del Governo Vecchio, not far from Piazza Navona.
Delettrez will join fellow jewelers Solange Azagury-Partridge and Jessica McCormack in the immediate neighborhood, and is part of a raft of young talent set to open around Mount Street. As reported, Erdem will open in the spring on South Audley Street – around the corner from Mount Street – while Christopher Kane’s first shop is currently under construction on Mount, and due to open later this year.
