DENIM BY THE DECADE: London’s MiH Jeans has teamed with Net-a-porter for a third time to create a six-piece capsule collection that will launch with the retailer in late October, for resort 2015.

The lineup channels a Seventies vibe, with pieces such as flared denim overalls, a knee-length denim, button-through skirt and A-line denim culottes. All the designs are done in two shades of indigo washes that MiH’s founder and creative director, Chloe Lonsdale, created for the collaboration. Lonsdale said she aimed for the collection “to capture the spirit of Seventies denim in a modern way, and [to] present the optimistic, free-spirited energy of the [decade].” Prices for the collection will run from 165 pounds, or about $282 at current exchange, for the culottes to 355 pounds, or $607, for the flared overalls. Lonsdale noted that she sees the label’s collaboration with Net-a-porter as an “ongoing” project — the firms first teamed in spring 2011, when the label did a capsule for Net-a-porter made up of jeans inspired by looks from its archives.

Lonsdale relaunched MiH Jeans in 2006, taking inspiration from the denim label that her godfather founded in 1969. Since then, Lonsdale has expanded the line into a lifestyle brand, which encompasses a host of denim fits and a growing ready-to-wear collection.
