DIY DESIGN: For the 10th installment of SHOWstudio’s Design Download series — which offer visitors to the fashion film Web site the opportunity to download patterns to make a designer creation — the site has partnered with Jonathan Anderson of the J.W. Anderson label.

Anderson, the experimental designer who garnered much buzz when LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton took a minority stake in his business earlier this year — and tapped him as creative director for Loewe — has offered up two patterns to the site. One is for a leather top and the other for a balloon skirt, both pieces from his fall 2013 collection.

This story first appeared in the December 19, 2013 issue of WWD. Subscribe Today.

The patterns will debut on SHOWstudio on Dec. 25, and are free to download. Those inspired to construct Anderson’s designs will be able submit images of their efforts to SHOWstudio for review by Nick Knight, the site’s founder, and Anderson. While a selection will be displayed on a gallery on the site, Knight and Anderson’s favorite creation will go on to star in its own specially commissioned SHOWstudio film.
