AUSTIN POWER: The Duchess of Cambridge returned today from maternity leave, dressed in a hound’s tooth silk shirtdress from the Ralph Lauren Black Label collection.

On Thursday morning, the young royal paid a visit to the Anna Freud Centre in north London, which specializes in mental health care for children and young people.

The duchess also visited The Family School, a charity sponsored by the Anna Freud Centre that works with emotionally disturbed children.

The duchess, whose belted dress is known as the Austin and retails for $1,595, also debuted a hairstyle with long bangs, and a few very subtle blond highlights.

Her choice of Ralph Lauren was particularly of the moment: For the first time, the designer will be live-streaming his spring-summer 2016 runway show, which takes place later today in New York, on a screen in London’s Piccadilly Circus.

The duchess, who gave birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte, in May, will making more appearances in the coming weeks.

On Friday, she is to attend the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup along with Princes William and Harry. Next month, she’ll join them once again to attend the premiere of Spectre, the latest Bond film, in London.
