FOSTERING CARE: The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance at the Fostering Network’s annual Fostering Excellence Awards in London on Tuesday evening. The charity’s annual event, held at the British Medical Association House, honors the achievements of foster carers and social workers. The duchess met the award winners at a tea party and presented three winners with their prizes. She wore a cobalt blue Saloni dress.
“The spotlight that will be placed on these young people, who have worked so hard with the support of their foster carers to change their future, is thoroughly deserved,” said Fostering Network chief executive officer Kevin Williams. “Sadly not every young person has a positive start in life, but thanks to The Fostering Network, foster carers and all those involved in working with fostered young people throughout the U.K. will continue to strive to make life better for them.”
