LONDON — The Duchess of Cambridge made her first visit to Wimbledon during this year’s tournament, to watch Serena Williams play Elena Vesnina in the semifinals of the tennis championships.
The Duchess wore a vibrant yellow dress by Roksanda that she first wore at the Sydney Opera House, during the 2014 royal tour of Australia. She teamed the dress with Rupert Sanderson nude kid leather Malory pumps and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Before play commenced she met with players and the Wimbledon staff, including ball girls and boys, and posed for a selfie with Williams alongside fellow royal Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
She also spoke to Greg Rusedski, a British former tennis player who represented Canada until 1995, and told how two-year-old Prince George has shown an interest in tennis and has his own racket.
Also in the crowd at the storied All England Club were “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner, Dame Maggie Smith and the Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb.
