POST IT: Duckie Brown is ready to make a splash for New York Fashion Week. The men’s brand, designed by Steven Cox and Daniel Silver, has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America through its Fashion Incubator program on a poster that will be plastered in 500 locations around town on Wednesday, the day before its runway show.

The poster, which features a model in a camoflauge-printed jacket and shorts and the words: Duckie Brown, was photographed by Matin Zad, a student at the School of Visual Art’s Masters Fashion Photography program.

Johanna Stout, professional development manager for CFDA, said the organization partners with SVA to pair masters students with designers to create still brand campaigns. New models from dna Model Management are also assigned to work on the campaign on a pro bono basis.

“The background is the wallpaper in our bedroom,” said Silver, saying it was created by the same firm that did the paper in Versailles. The posters will be wheat pasted through the city to create buzz for New York Fashion Week and the brand. “It’s a beautiful image and we thought it was a great thing to do for this kid [Zad] and for us,” Silver said.

Past participants in this program include Prabal Gurung, Public School, House of Waris, Bibhu Mohapatra and others.
