LIVING COLOR: London-based designer Edeline Lee has teamed with Little Greene, a luxury paint manufacturer for her spring 2015 collection, which showed Sunday at London Fashion Week. The Canadian-born designer was in the process of revamping her own Victorian home in east London when she contacted Little Greene in a bid to fuse fashion with interiors.
“It’s very architectural, it was inspired by the way a house is constructed,” she said of her collection and presentation. The event was part digital, part physical. It took place in a white tent on the River Terrace of Somerset House, with guests wandering through a Victorian door to view the rooms and watching a film of the collection.
“I was looking a lot at mitered corners, we made a skirt that’s like a skirting board, the set is a ceiling rose that wraps into actual roses, and the girl is the English Rose inside. So we’ve kind of played with concepts in interior and fashion together,” she added.
Lee and Little Greene have produced seven rooms for the presentation, using a range of the brand’s colors including Atomic Red, Lamp Black and Slaked Lime. The China Blue room contains a family china collection with girls dressed in various shades of blue. There is a monochrome black and white reception room, a gray library, and a terrace set.
