PATIENCE PLEASE: As Raf Simons settles into his new role as Calvin Klein’s creative director, editors eager to see him in his New York office will have to wait a bit longer. Since Simons and his team were not involved with the fashion company’s spring 2017 collections in any way, it is understood those designs are only being shown to retailers during private appointments. It is not known what specifically buyers are reviewing. Calvin Klein officials declined comment.
In April, Francisco Costa left the company as creative director of women’s Calvin Klein Collection and Italo Zucchelli left as men’s creative director of Collection. Kevin Carrigan resigned as global creative director of Calvin Klein Inc. last month.
Editors, meanwhile, will have to wait until early next year to see Simons’ first efforts for the brand.
