ELOQUII AT NORDSTROM: Plus-size brand Eloquii, launched by The Limited in 2011 and then relaunched in February as an independent brand after being shut down, is now available at nordstrom.com.

According to Mariah Chase, chief executive officer of Eloquii, the “partnership is the first of its kind” for the brand, with 35 styles available initially. “We do have several items that are exclusive to Nordstrom,” she said, adding that there is the possibility of including the brand at Nordstrom’s brick-and-mortar stores down the road.

The brand has about 250 stockkeeping units and offers a full collection of dresses, tops, bottoms and outerwear as well as a small jewelry assortment. Prices range from $18 to $189, and the pieces are designed in-house under the oversight of Jodi Arnold, creative director.

The brand targets women ages 20 to 40 who wear sizes 14 to 24. “According to NPD, about 67 percent of the women’s market is size 14 and above, and the average woman wears a size 14,” Chase said. The company plans to increase its sizing options to sizes 26 and 28 in December.
