BIG WHEELS: Risking the wrath of Paris’ militant traffic wardens, a white Maserati Ghibli was left parked outside Ermenegildo Zegna‘s Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré flagship on Thursday night — like a scene out of James Bond — for the launch of the new Zegna-Maserati capsule.
Personalities including Jérémy Kapone, Ahmed Dramé, Tom Leeb and Aline Afanoukoé were among the guests eyeing the wheels — and the goods. “I love cars, like any stupid boy; I have an old Triumph,” said Hugo Becker. “But you know what, it’s also a symbol of freedom.” The rising French actor has just wrapped filming “1971 Motorcycle Heart,” playing opposite Anna Mouglalis in the role of ill-fated French racing motorcyclist Christian Ravel, as well as season two of “Chefs,” a French TV series headed to Netflix, where he plays “a young guy just out of jail who is going to reintegrate in a very famous restaurant and his past is going to catch up with him.”
Highlights of the Zegna-Maserati line, which spans leather goods, clothing and accessories — including driving gloves — include a hybrid blouson in dark brown deerskin, luxe gray denim and silk herringbone scarves. The collection will hit selected Ermenegildo Zegna stores worldwide, as well as the brand’s web site, in November.
