SHOW ME THE MONEY: On Thursday night Naomi Campbell shook down various London multimillionaires at Fashion For Relief, a charity catwalk show for victims of the summer floods in northern England. Guests included Philip Green, Claudia Schiffer, Sting, Trudie Styler, Christian Slater, Daphne Guinness, Yasmin Le Bon, Tamara Mellon and Princesses Eugene and Beatrice. Most of the women — including Schiffer, Mellon and the princesses — modeled a range of donated designer gear including Chanel, Dior and Alexander McQueen. Meanwhile, Kate Moss, who gave the modeling a miss, donated $50,000, and nearly $1 million was raised before the show even began. Erin O’Connor, who also modeled, said: “It was quite touching to see the celebrities being quite nervous of doing it. They were asking the models for advice.”

Asprey still doesn’t have a chief executive, two months after Gianluca Brozzetti abruptly — and mysteriously — stepped down from his post. On Thursday, an Asprey spokeswoman said John P. Rigas, chairman and chief executive of Sciens Capital Management LLC, the New York-based private equity firm and the principal shareholder in Asprey, was the acting chief of the luxury brand. Creative director Hakan Rosenius said backstage on Thursday that creatively “the shareholders don’t want anything to change,” and have told him to proceed with business as usual.

FRENCH FANCY: “We wanted it to be slightly theatrical, as if you were walking into one of our homes,” said Sadie Frost of the first FrostFrench flagship, which opened Thursday. The store, located on Camden Passage in Islington, U.K., has a girly boudoir feel complete with an antique dressing table and ornate ironwork. And there’s no mistaking whose home customers are gazing at. Polaroids of the pair are scattered across the floor, and giant portraits of the duo decorate one of the changing rooms. “That way you get the sense we’re always in the shop,” joked Frost.

AGENT ORANGE: Everyone knows about the time Oprah Winfrey tried to shop at the Hermès flagship store in Paris past closing time and was rebuffed at the door. But did you know the Queen of Thailand had better luck when she arrived after hours, with an entourage of approximately 100 people? The difference was that Hermès staff was expecting the queen and waited a bit extra, according to a new book by Christian Blanckaert, executive vice president of Hermès International in charge of international affairs. His 202-page tome, titled “Luxe” and scheduled for a French release on Oct. 11, offers a freewheeling, insider view of the company’s history, punctuated with witty stories and anecdotes about the company, its employees and the quirks of its customers.

TAKE TWO: Designer Amsale was in Boston this week to shoot her scene in the new film “Bachelor No. 2” starring Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs and Diora Baird. Amsale has designed the wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses for the comedy, which is being directed by Howard Deutch. Amsale’s scene is with the “bride,” played by Baird, who comes to pick up her dress at the Amsale boutique (specially created for the film). Amsale said,

“I don’t quite think my performance will garner any attention from The Academy, but I definitely have a red-carpet dress idea up my sleeve.”

EVENING READING: What does a hit reality TV show get you? Well, if you’re Elle fashion director and “Project Runway” judge Nina Garcia, a lot of new friends and loving colleagues. Garcia drew a crowd to Gemma earlier this week to mark her new book, “The Little Black Book of Style,” including Elle editor in chief Robbie Myers and creative director Joe Zee, as well as Olivia Chantecaille, Tinsley Mortimer, Lauren Davis, Rachel Roy (whose husband, Damon Dash, showed up just in time for dessert) and Alison Sarofim. Most of the fashionable crowd was decked in Armani, which sponsored the dinner, but the untimely service that delayed the start of dinner by two hours had most of the socials checking in with mates via iPhone or BlackBerry.

SHOPPING TEMPLE: Londoners will soon have an alternative to schlepping through Chelsea and Mayfair — luxury shopping in the city is set to become a walk in the park. A high-end shopping mall, located in a deconsecrated church, is set to open its doors just minutes away from Regent’s Park and Great Portland Street. The space is currently being restored and work is expected to finish in 2009.

LOST LUGGAGE: The customized T-Mobile Sidekicks for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer program hit eBay on Tuesday, but they almost didn’t make it. The one-of-a-kind creations by such designers as Diane von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Miller and Jennifer Lopez for Sweetface, got lost on their way to auction management company Kompolt and were missing for three weeks. FedEx eventually hunted the Sidekicks down in time for the auction, which runs through next Tuesday. Speaking of FTBC, the Ralph Lauren-designed polo shirts in aid of the initiative worldwide were launched on on Sept. 10, and more than 600 of the $75 shirts have sold in the first week. Meanwhile, designer Atil Kutoglu’s T-shirt and minidresses made exclusively for FTBC’s Turkey initiative have raised in excess of $10,000 for the program.
