RUBLE ROUSER: The economic and political tensions with Russia are not stopping Salvatore Ferragamo from opening a new store at Moscow’s Gum shopping mall in December.
“We remain confident [in Russia] and we are organizing a party to celebrate the venue,” said chief executive officer Michele Norsa before the brand’s show on Sunday.
The Florence-based company is continuing to expand globally and has one boutique slated to open in Washington at the end of November, and two openings in China and two in Korea.
Norsa said he expected 2014 to grow in terms of sales and profitability and a positive last quarter. “The strengthening of the euro is helping us, too,” he said.
