TIPPLE TIME: Filmmaker Michel Gondry quietly sketched portraits of revelers at the party Tuesday night at Cointreau Privé, a pop-up speakeasy in Paris decorated by designer Alexis Mabille. “When I drink, I see after how my drawings have evolved with inebriation,” Gondry explained. He will next month start filming “The Foam of the Days,” featuring Omar Sy, Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris. Gondry also just finished the movie “The We and the I” and a comic book in French wryly called “On a perdu la guerre mais, pas la bataille” (or “We Lost the War, But Not the Battle,” in English).
Along with working on his fashion collection, Mabille helped concoct a new cocktail, called Cointreau Privé by Alexis Mabille. “It is Cointreau, Champagne, strawberry with a bit of spice,” said the designer. “So the first sensation is a bit spicy, like candy. It’s playing with your tongue, and after it is very fresh and light.”
