FASHION WROOM: Franca Sozzani and Citroën hosted a charitable event on Wednesday at Permanent Mission of France in Geneva, during the city’s International Motor Show.

At the the cocktail party, the L’Uomo Vogue editor-in-chief and the French automotive company presented the prototype of the first “Citroën DS3 Cabrio L’Uomo Vogue” car, which was sold during a silent auction for 100,000 euros, or $130,000 at current exchange rates. The proceeds will benefit the“Women Create Life” charitable project, aiming to improve women and children’s health conditions across the world.

“This event intends to celebrate Citroën and L’Uomo Vogue’s efforts in supporting women worldwide, since they are the ones who create the conditions to promote life and development within their communities,” said Sozzani, who is goodwill ambassador of United Nations-backed Fashion 4 Development, an initiative aiming to promote economic and social development in poor areas through fashion.
