Less than one year after opening its first international store in Tokyo’s Daikanyama neighborhood, Fred Segal is expanding its Japanese footprint. It will open a new location in Yokohama on March 4. At roughly 17,640 square feet, the new store will be over twice the size of the Daikanyama outpost.
The Yokohama home of Fred Segal will be a new development called Marine & Walk Yokohama, which will be located on the city’s waterfront. Other tenants will include Steven Alan, Todd Snyder, Cos, Tom’s and Denham. It will also be home to Canadian brand Kit and Ace’s first permanent Japan location. In addition to retail stores, the three-floor, 145,170-square-foot development will house several cafés and restaurants. Many restaurants will have open-air terraces looking out onto Tokyo Bay.
The Fred Segal store will also include a restaurant and food hall. It will also sell men’s and women’s clothing, activewear, general goods, organic cosmetics and more.
