PARISIAN APARTMENT: French fashion’s top governing body, the Fédération Française de la Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode, plans to host a “Designers Apartment” during Paris Fashion Week in a space designed to showcase the collections of a selection of Paris-based designers.

“It has become extremely difficult for young designers to show during ready-to-wear, given the jam-packed calendar. It is a tool to make sure they connect with the buyers,” said Didier Grumbach, the president of the Fédération.

Each designer will create his or her own space inside the “apartment,” which will be at Atelier Richelieu, a townhouse near the Palais Royal from Sept. 27 until Oct. 3.

Aganovich, Alexis Mabille, Alice Lemoîne, Barnabé Hardy, Céline Méteil, Christine Phung, Christophe Josse, Gaspard Yurkievich, Gustavo Lins and Yiqing Yin are the first designers to take part of the seasonal event, whose selection will change every year.
