FAMILY AFFAIR: Some of those taking in the Gucci men’s show on Monday already knew the brand up close and personal.
Take Jared Leto, the current face of the Gucci Guilty fragrance. So what’s he been up to other than filming the campaign?
“Besides my work with the CIA? It’s probably the only thing I can talk about,” he said, adding more seriously that the movie “Suicide Squad,” in which he plays the Joker, breaks on Aug. 6. But that’s not all.
“I’m going to go to Japan and shoot a film called ‘The Outsider’ soon, and I’m working on my fifth album — fifth! — right now. We’re almost done with it,” he continued.
Artist Trevor Andrew, aka Trouble Andrew, who already had collaborated on Gucci’s fall fashion collection, has been working with the label’s creative director Alessandro Michele “on a few more projects,” though he couldn’t reveal anything further.
Otherwise, Trouble is gearing up to show some of his art, probably starting in New York in September, and music, which should also be released this fall.
“I’m also working on some film stuff, so probably [I will] incorporate the music. It’s kind of like anti-music videos, and short films with music,” he explained. “I just get bored really easily, so I have to work on a bunch of different things to maintain my excitement.”
Olly Alexander, the lead singer of Years & Years, said he continues touring the brand’s first album, with the next stop after Milan being Denmark.
