HEARING THE MUSIC: Neneh Cherry, Noomi Rapace, the Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo, singer-song writer Labrinth, Dougie Poynter of McBusted, and the classical singer Camilla Kerslake were among the guests at Jeremy Scott’s latest outing for Moschino, an eye-popping lineup inspired by the art of Gilbert & George.
Cherry said she is working on a new album that she hopes to release later this year, but wasn’t giving up any details. “I don’t know if it’ll be done in time for festival season, but I did a few (festivals) last year and wore some Christopher Shannon pieces on stage; I really love his look,” she said.
Kerslake looked kawaii with braided hair and “SHOP” emblazoned in sequins across her Moschino spring/summer 2016 dress. She said she loved the ideas in the show, as did her boyfriend, former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw, who was wearing a shearling jacket by the brand. The pair had had spent some time in Brazil last month. “It was such a great trip, really eye-opening,” he said.
On the other side of the deconsecrated church, Poynter, who had modeled in Joshua Kane’s show on Friday night, said he’s embarked on a new career path. “I have started taking acting classes in New York. I haven’t worked out whether I want to do film or TV or anything, I am just enjoying studying at the moment. And while there isn’t any music to be made, I’ll do that.”
