On Thursday morning, the final day of New York Fashion Week, Ralph Lauren presented his fall 2016 collection with Sienna Miller seated alongside the Lauren family in the front row.
“I loved it. I think it’s everything you want from Ralph Lauren,” Miller gushed backstage after the show. “It’s elegant, it’s classic, it’s timeless, with beautiful fabrics and cuts. I love the different chapters — the rock ‘n’ roll one in the middle, that was stunning. There was a black dress with ruffles and cutouts that was amazing…Kate’s going, ‘You’re not wearing it,'” she said, looking over at her stylist, Kate Young. “But I loved it. And that black velvet jumpsuit is so beautiful, and that red v-neck gown, the color of that fabric was breathtaking.”
The actress continued to riff on her relationship with the brand. “My first Ralph Lauren purchases were through RRL and all the vintage stuff. I used to save up and get the best Navajo belts, I was really into all of that,” she said. “It’s really aspirational — the lifestyle, the home wear, it’s such an empire. I wore this dress in Cannes that was Ralph Lauren and it was a metallic, spaghetti-strap, sort of Nineties gown, so not what I associate with Ralph Lauren. But I just loved it, and it was one of my favorite things I’ve ever worn.”
