GETTING A FOOTHOLD: Word has it Berluti, the luxury men’s brand being piloted by Antoine Arnault, will open a flagship on Madison Avenue in New York later this year. “Very probably,” Arnault said Wednesday as he rushed to his seat at the Louis Vuitton show. “It’s across the street from Barneys, next to Brunello Cuccinelli.”

The Manhattan move telegraphs the global expansion ambitions of the cult cobbler, which parent LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is transforming into an elite lifestyle label.
