Gigi Hadid has taken to social media to defend her curvy physique in an open letter posted on Instagram Monday morning.

“Yes, I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m fitting into the sample sizes,” the IMG-repped model wrote in the 323-word missive. Hadid attributed “judgment on social media” as the impetus for the post.

“Your mean comments don’t make me want to change my body, they don’t make me want to say no to the designers that ask me to be in their shows, and they definitely don’t change the designers’ opinions of me. If they want me in their show, I’m in it; if they don’t, I’m not,” Hadid writes.

According to models.com, Hadid walked in a handful of spring 2016 shows including Diane von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Jeremy Scott and Friday’s Versace show.

In her post, the model also seems to vacillate between insinuations of quitting the business and reaffirming her staying power, stating, “I came to the realization that when one gets to this point, it’s important to rethink why you’re doing what you do,” but later goes on to say, “I’m not going anywhere.”

Her agency could not be reached for comment at press time.
