Giorgio Armani for Bugatti capsule collection.

SHIFTING INTO HIGH: Giorgio Armani has teamed with French luxury car manufacturer Bugatti to create a men’s fall capsule collection of  leather goods and luxury ready-to-wear.

“It was very natural to come together with Bugatti. We both worship things that are made well, made to last, created out of the best materials,” Armani said. “The capsule condenses this encounter in a series of clothes and accessories designed to be worn by men who only look for the best and who live an active and dynamic lifestyle.”

The range — in a palette of cognac, Army green and blue — is inspired by Bugatti’s horse-shaped emblem, which appears on bags’ closures, as well as on the blue lining of bags, pockets and footwear insoles.

Options include a coat, a double cashmere blouson, superfine cashmere sweaters, a hooded leather jacket and flocked jeans. Accessories include a briefcase, belts, wallets, iPad cases and toiletry cases, crafted from calfskin as well as crocodile skin.

The capsule collection will be available at Giorgio Armani boutiques and Bugatti lifestyle stores starting from August. Items are to retail from $645 to $1,895.
