GLOBAL DOMINATION: KCD Worldwide is ramping up its efforts to live up to its name. Hosting an open house for editors, stylists, bloggers and others to view the recent collections of KCD clients has been standard operating procedure for years in cities where the agency has offices: New York, London and Paris, where open houses will be held today, April 9 and April 12, respectively. But this season KCD is expanding to Milan for an event on April 16, as well as installing digital stations at each open house, where all the agency’s digital fashion shows and the digital accessories showcase will be available to view. More than 40 ready-to-wear and accessories collections will be shown in New York and Paris, with 30 collections featured in London and Milan. “With travel budget cuts and shorter stays abroad, it is more important than ever to give editors the opportunity to see collections firsthand,” said Ed Filipowski, KCD president.
