GOLD COIN: The Initiatives in Art & Culture, in partnership with Buccellati, will kick off its third annual gold conference from April 11 to 13. Called “Vision and Virtuosity,” the conference will begin with a cocktail reception held at the Buccellati flagship on 810 Madison Avenue hosted by Buccellati chief executive officer of the Americas Alberto Milani and fourth-generation jeweler Lucrezia Buccellati. The conference, which will include presentations from Namu Cho, Kara Ross, George Sawyer and Waris Ahluwalia, will offer a look at gold from extraction to production of finished goods, in addition to the concerns of design and artistry, sustainability and the challenges posed by “conflict gold.”

Private receptions will be held at Buccellati and at the Macklowe Gallery, while conference sessions take place at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, on Fifth Avenue.
