The Cover of Gucci's "Blind for Love" Photo Book

Gucci is celebrating its cruise runway show, held last June at Westminster Abbey’s cloisters in London, with a limited-edition book titled “Blind for Love,” to be launched Thursday.

The volume, published by Assouline, collects the behind-the-scenes candid shots taken before, during and after the show by British artist and photographer Nick Waplington. Along with the pictures, the pages of the book will be punctuated by lines of the English ballad “Scarborough Fair,” which was played during the runway show.

To celebrate the English influences running through “Blind for Love,” the book, which comes with a slipcase, features a painted portrait of Queen Elizabeth I on the front cover.

Available in a limited number of 1,000 copies, the volume will retail at $95 and will be sold at Assouline boutiques around the world, as well as at the publishing company’s web site and at selected multibrand stores, such as Dover Street Market in London, New York and Tokyo and Colette in Paris.

Waplington will sign copies at Assouline stores in London and New York on Dec. 4 and 8, respectively.
