GREEN MACHINE: Harold Tillman has become a non-executive chairman of, and shareholder in,, a networking platform that promotes sustainable business practices.

He was invited to join by the founder and chief executive officer, Tamsin Lejeune, and will be providing strategic counsel.

Founded in 2012, the platform supports fashion businesses with training and resources for developing ethical businesses. It has worked with brands including Vivienne Westwood, Hennes & Mauritz, Topshop and Monsoon. It is also supported by the model Amber Valletta.

Tillman is the former chairman of the British Fashion Council and the former owner of British retailers Jaeger and Aquascutum.
