FACE LIFT: Harry Winston will renovate its home of 56 years at 718 Fifth Avenue, WWD has learned. The historic brand’s New York flagship will temporarily move to a space one block south at Fifth Avenue and 55th street.

The label declined to comment on the temporary move and renovations, saying details surrounding its New York spruce-up are still be finalized. It is understood that the flagship’s renovation is slated for completion early next year.

Harry Winston himself opened the 718 Fifth Avenue salon in 1960. The label has remained in the space since, becoming part of a jewelry shopping nexus that retailers sometimes refer to as New York’s own Place Vendôme. Nearby tenants include Bulgari, Cartier (also presently renovating its flagship) and Van Cleef & Arpels.
