HARVEY NICHOLS MEETS BEEN TRILL: Harvey Nichols is joining forces with the DJ and art collective Been Trill to create a men’s collection for spring 2015, which Been Trill are designing together with a host of British labels.

The New York-based collective has worked with Brit designers and labels including Kim Jones, Hardy Amies, Gareth Pugh, Shaun Samson and A.Sauvage to create the 15 looks in the collection — which will be under the Harvey Nichols label — while the footwear label Mr. Hare has designed shoes as part of the project, and Linda Farrow is creating sunglasses for the collection.

The Been Trill collective, whose members number Heron Preston, Virgil Abloh, Matthew Williams and Justin Saunders, will present the designs at the London Collections: Men shows June 16, and the line will launch in December at Harvey Nichols’ stores globally, and the retailer’s online store.

Darren Skey, men’s wear buying and merchandise manager at Harvey Nichols said: “Been Trill have…created a unique collective of music, art and fashion curators,” and noted that the collective are creating the line with “British designers who encapsulate the entire men’s wear spectrum, from Savile Row to street fashion.” Been Trill currently sell their own T-shirts and sweaters printed with graffiti-like slogans, and have collaborated with PacSun on a line of T-shirts, sweatshirts and accessories.
