THE EMPIRE RISES: Fans still in mourning over the end of “Boardwalk Empire” can now take home a piece of the empire. HBO, which aired the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series from 2010 until its October finale, has teamed with ScreenBid to auction off costumes, accessories and props used during the show’s five season run. The auction will go live on the site, which specializes in Hollywood collectibles, beginning on Sunday, January 25th and close on Thursday, January 29th. Starting today on ScreenBid, fans of the Prohibition Era drama can preview items up for auction. Pieces available for purchase include tailor-made coats, suits and other garments, vintage jewelry, and décor items, such as liquor crates, china and furniture. Created by costume designer John Dunn, wardrobe pieces range from a floral print dress with a handkerchief hem worn by Gretchen Mol’s character to a linen havana suit donned by main character Nucky Thompson, portrayed by Steve Buscemi.
