HERMÈS’ TIE BREAK: Hermès today is launching a mobile app for its tie enthusiasts, Tie Break, targeting a man on the go. Intended as a way for shoppers to learn more about the brand’s ties, the app features seven “breaks” — including GIFs, games, funny phrases and comics. Users can also perfect their tie-knotting skills, catch a glimpse of the newest patterns and share their experience on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook. The brand even created a corresponding tie (it will retail $195) for the spring collection that has a barcode on the back, which, when scanned, takes the user straight to the app.
