INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: The Dallas opening of Kira Plastinina’s first U.S. store for Lublu, her designer collection, drew more than the usual number of fashion executives. That’s because the 21-year-old Russian heiress ferried 16 of her New York pals via private jet — plus transported a number of friends from Moscow. “They were all rooting for me during the store opening process, so I wanted to show them how much I appreciate their support,” Plastinina said.
Guests included Hannah Bronfman spinning party tunes, Fivestory owner Claire Distenfeld, stylists Logan Horne and Anya Ziourova, casting agent Natalie Joos and Harper’s Bazaar site editor Joyann King. “We’ve known her since she was 15 and it’s amazing what she’s accomplished at such a young age,” said Gabriel Levy, who accompanied his wife, Aslaug Magnusdottir.
Dallas socials also turned out, many clad in Lublu, including Nasiba Adilova, Tina Craig, Jessica Nowitzki and Lucy Wrubel. “She has a lot of talent and a little nice, so she’s got my vote,” said Craig, noting Plastinina thanked her within hours for a mention on one of her blogs.
Plastinina shepherded the visitors around town on a tour bus, including a stop at The Warehouse private art collection, and treated them to dinner at Mercat.
