DOUBLE VISION: Italia Independent and Colmar celebrated their second co-branded collection with a cocktail party held at Milan’s Spazio Edit on Friday night.

The capsule includes nine men’s and women’s down-filled outerwear pieces, including a reversible duvet and padded blazers, produced by Colmar, along with four different Italia Independent sunglasses.

The jackets and the frames are decorated with prints created exclusively for the project, including a lightning motif, as well as a pinstripelike pattern where the traditional lines are replaced by the Italia Independent logo repeated in sequence.

“We will soon announce other collaborations with international companies known around the world,” said Italia Independent chief executive officer Andrea Tessitore.

He also revealed that the company would open three new stores — in New York, Miami and Paris — before the end of the year.

“We are currently working on the architectural aspect with the interior designers and we are checking out all the details to make some improvements to our concept store,” added Italia Independent president Lapo Elkann. “Every new store we open has something better compared to the older ones. With time you learn how to make things work better. So we are slightly revising both the aesthetic of the stores and the product offering.”

Italia Independent has 10 stores in Italy, 36 shops-in-shop and sells its collections to 3,000 opticians and 180 fashion stores around the world.
